New type of foundation for wind turbines
TEROC has played a key role in the development of a new type of foundation, called PowerFoot, patented by PowerTower AB. The technology has several advantages over conventional foundations, such as that the wind turbine reaches higher and thus can produce more electricity, and the development has therefore been supported by the Swedish Energy Agency. After very hard work (including evening work as shown in the picture below), the first PowerFoot is now complete and the steel tower is mounted on it today. As far as we know, it is the first time someone builds a prefabricated and anchored foundation for wind turbines on land.
