Wind Energy and Hybrid Systems

An example of a completed wind project initiated by TEROC is Södra Kärra, south east of Askersund. The top photo showns some of the wind turbines, which are in operation there. Read more on the web page of Arise.

Glava Energy Center has one of the wind measurement masts we have specified and installed. Data collection and monitoring is done by our TWEB system. We also designed a small wind turbine foundation for Glava Energy Center.

One of the places where a TEROC Independent Power (TIP) system is in operation is at the Children's Mission Philippines. The cabinet module shown in the next photo was delivered in cooperation with InnoVentum and provides uninterruptible power to critical loads in combination with on-site renewable energy.

TEROC has played a key role in the realization of the concept house "Hus Utan Sladd" (House Unplugged), built by Sisyfos. Our responsibility was the coordination of the electrical engineering. We installed and commissioned the inverter and control system, among many other things. Free Open Source Software developed by us for control and monitoring is available for download on this website.

For Mälardalen University in Västerås, we have delivered and installed measurement equipment, data logging systems and hybrid system with a microgrid for DC.

Welcome to contact us if you are interested in visiting any of the sites above.

Due to our knowledge and experience, we are often in demand as lecturers in wind energy and hybrid systems. Among other things, we have been engaged in international courses run by Life Academy and in the Swedish education of energy and climate advisors in the ENKLAV project.

Together with VANNHANDEL, which is based in Norway and works with small wind turbines, we have completed several projects. One of them is for a private customer, who has an off-grid cabin in Norway. Because of the small wind turbine we delivered, he has hardly had to run the genset, which he otherwise has used, mainly during the winter. The following is a translation of what writes:

"Both during winter holidays and Easter, with many in the cabin at the same time, there have previously been periods when the genset has had to be used to recharge the battery. Especially with bad weather for several days, which we had to the degree both during the winter holidays and Easter this year.

But this year the genset was not in use!

---

The conclusion so far is thus clear: why didn't we arrange for wind power before..."

We have also worked with hybrid systems for power supply of remote radar stations, communication equipment and many other demanding applications.

Concrete- and Building Technology

Concrete staircases we have calculated can be found in a number of buildings, such as the Globe Arena in Stockholm, Höglandssjukhuset in Nässjö, at the station square in Flemingsberg and the regional hospital in Örebro.

Some of the historical buildings in which we participated in the renovation are the Rectory in Munktorp and Wahlsta Säteri, both located in Köping municipality.

In an assignment for Sisyfos, we programmed and installed the control system for an exclusive villa in Sigtuna, seen on the bottom photo. It controls the lighting via DALI, uses wireless and batteryless EnOcean sensors and is prepared to communicate with the Ferroamp EnergyHub, which is also used in the house.
